The LP is a phonograph record that would hold at least 20 minutes per side. Columbia Records unveiled the LP at a press conference in the Waldorf Astoria on June 21, 1948. (Ironically the same hotel where my parents joked I too was conceived.) Like anything the audio quality of LPs increased greatly over time, and a small contingent of music fans still maintain they are superior to CDs. Inside the LP is meant to be the personal soundtrack to my life.
